The market

Twelve Bitcoin markets an hour.

Polymarket's Bitcoin Up or Down markets run in five-minute windows. Each asks one question, settles on its own, and is followed by the next.

  1. 5:00

A new market every 5 minutes

One Bitcoin Up or Down market per window, around the clock: twelve an hour, 288 a day. Each has its own order book and settles when its five minutes are up.

  2. TWAP

    Settled by Chainlink

Up wins if Bitcoin's time-weighted average price over the window, from Chainlink's BTC/USD stream, is at or above the price at the window's start. Otherwise Down wins.

  3. $1

    A winning share pays $1

Up and Down shares trade between 0 and 1 USDC while the window runs. When it settles, every share on the winning side redeems for 1 USDC and the losing side pays nothing.

How N-1 trades it

Both sides of every window, held to the close.

  1. 1

    Both sides

Buys Up and Down in the same window and keeps the share counts close, so whichever way Bitcoin settles, one side pays out.

  2. 2

    Spread through the window

Orders go in piece by piece from the open to the close, some at the asking price and some as resting bids.

  3. 3

    Held to settlement

It never sells early. In live mode the winning shares are redeemed for USDC about a minute after each window settles.

  4. 4

    Paid for volume

Polymarket returns part of its taker fees every day, more as volume grows. At unit zero's volume the rebates are 51% of the net.

BTC 5-minute bot

Questions about the BTC 5-minute bot.

Straight answers. If yours isn't here, ask on Telegram and a person replies.

Does the bot predict whether Bitcoin goes up or down?
No. It buys both Up and Down in the same window and keeps the share counts close, so whichever way Bitcoin settles, one side pays out. The result comes from the prices it buys at across the window and from Polymarket's fee rebates, not from calling the move.
Does it trade only Bitcoin 5-minute markets?
Polymarket's short crypto windows: 5-minute Up or Down on Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana, and 15-minute on Bitcoin. You choose which ones in the settings.
Can I try it on BTC 5-minute markets without money?
Yes. Paper mode is the default: the full strategy runs against Polymarket's live order books and settles each window on the real result, but no orders are sent and no money is involved.
Do I have to claim winnings after every window?
No. In live mode the bot redeems winning shares for USDC on its own, about a minute after each window settles. It works with email, browser-wallet and plain-key accounts; keep a little POL in the wallet for gas.
Will I make the same profit as unit zero?
Probably not, and we'd rather say so up front. 51% of unit zero's net is rebates, earned at the Obsidian tier on millions of dollars of monthly volume. A smaller account pays the same taker fee and gets less of it back, and at small size the fees can outweigh the edge. Run paper mode first: it charges every fee and adds only the rebate rate you set, so you judge your own net before you risk money.
How much money do I need to start?
The code has no minimum. The default size keeps a few hundred dollars working at once, and one setting scales every position up or down. The real question is what size pays its fees: rebates start at $2,000 of 30-day weighted taker volume (Bronze, 3%). Only go live with money you can afford to lose. It stays in your own wallet the whole time.
What exactly do I get after paying?
A download of the complete Python project with a setup guide, the moment your payment confirms. You run it yourself; nothing runs on our side. Owners also join a private Telegram group for setup help and updates: message us on Telegram with your payment ID.
